13th Annual U.S. 2017 Sketch Comedy Competition:

The below groups have been selected from a national pool of over 100 professional sketch comedy groups to perform in this years prestigious event!
Damn Gina
Damn, Gina! was founded in Chicago in 2011 by writer/director, Andrew McCammon. DG! has performed at the Second City’s Donny’s Skybox Theater, Chicago Sketch Fest and Studio BE. They currently reside at the iO Theater, Chicago. You can see their eighth original sketch revue, Spoof! at the iO Theater, opening this December. Damn, Gina! would like to thank all the friends and family who have supported them over the years and could not be happier to share their stupidity with the West Coast. Big thanks to the Acme Theater, Paul Lawrence and everyone else involved who made this possible!
18 Mighty Mountain Warriors
Who are the 18 Mighty Mountain Warriors? Well, just imagine SNL if they actually had real Asians! Think of Key & Peele if they were Asian instead of Black! 18MMW has performed worldwide since 1994 in cities from New York to Los Angeles, and Hong Kong to Vancouver. The Asian Pacific Rim is hot hot hot right now, from North Korea threatening to start WWIII to China’s Alibaba, the biggest U.S. IPO in history! And the Warriors are there with their wicked, no-holds barred comedic commentary and satire! And they don’t neglect domestic hot button topics like immigration and bad ethnic film! Inspired by groups such as Monty Python's Flying Circus, Culture Clash, SNL, and Kids in the Hall, their irreverent style of skit comedy ranges from slapstick to political and takes no prisoners.
TANTRUM is a sketch group based in LA that performs at The Pack Theater every 4th Wednesday of the month, and is known in the comedy community for living up to their motto of NEVER BEING BORING. This year alone they headlined at the Austin Sketch Fest, the Big Pine Comedy Festival in Arizona, and the Sacramento Comedy Festival in October. Tantrum is: Ted Asbaghi, Sarah Bellardini, Jessica Drolet, Andrew Fernandez, Cheyenne Grogan, Michael Resnick, Bryan Musil, Christopher Robin, Elyssa Phillips and Andrew Shrout.
Skitsations is the longest running scripted sketch comedy group in south Florida as they celebrate 13 years of comedy. This national level competition group has performed at virtually all of the local major comedy clubs and comedy theaters in South Florida as well as world famous venues such as the Laugh Factory on Sunset Blvd, the Improv on Melrose in Hollywood, The Comedy Store, TLC Chinese Theater and the landmark Los Angeles Theater Centre. They have also performed at a variety of prestigious events such as the Olympic Improv Scripted Comedy Festival and the New York City Sketch Comedy Festival. Led by director, Paul Lawrence, a writer/producer with several theatrically distributed feature film credits, the group is excited to no longer be a “small fish in a big pond” in the Miami market and run with the “big dogs” at the Sketch Comedy Championships as they pursue their stated goal of being the “dirtiest sketch comedy group on the planet.”
